Physical health is the key to life success. If you make a consistent effort to maintain good health everyday (stay active, eat healthy, rest enough), it will have a huge effect on the quality of other areas of your life (mentally, emotionally, on your energy levels, and in your relationships).
Evaluate your current fitness level and set a bench mark to work towards. Knowing where you are starting from will help you set goals and measure progress.
Start small and build from there. Don’t stress yourself out by worrying about working out 30 minutes a day 6 days a week for the rest of your life. Start with 15 minutes a day three times a week, the health benefits of such a small change are huge. You can increase your fitness level …
Don’t eat carbohydrates for at least an hour after exercise. This will force your body to break down and burn body fat, instead of using the food you are eating now. Stick to fruit and fluids during that hour, but avoid carbs.
Turn grocery shopping into an exercise session. At the grocery store, park your cart at one end of the aisle, then walk up and down the aisle to select items.
Move your workout outdoors in cooler weather. You burn more calories walking outside when it’s below 50°F.
